Watery Wednesday
I know I'm posting late, but here's my first okay 'watery' shot with the D90. I was able to figure out how to make the angel hair effect with shutter speed/aperture, but this shot seemed a lot more interesting. Enjoy more water here.

First shoot with new camera
My mother-in-law came over to watch my baby yesterday while I went to an appointment and when I got back they were out on a blanket in the grass. It was the perfect opportunity to try out my new camera. It went pretty well I think. What do you think?

My new camera!!!
Here it is! I finally decided after MUCH research to get the Nikon D90. She's a beauty. If you don't see much from me in the next while, it's because I'm playing with Roxy. (Roxy rocks and weighs as much as a rock compared to my point and shoot). Anyway, it's going to take a while to figure out all the settings. Wish me luck! Thanks to my hubby for the help and willingness to make the purchase! :)

Ruby Tuesday
This rose started out a questionable pinkish red. With the help of a little editing, it's definitely red now. Enjoy more "ruby" red things here.

Skywatch Friday
It rained like mad here yesterday! Then out of nowhere the sun came out and produced this rainbow! It was amazing. See more unique skies here.

Window Views
This is a favorite little Mexican restaurant here in Utah called Los Hermanos "the brothers". It's actually a very old house that's been restored and built onto to make the restaurant. By the size of these rose bushes it looks like they've been there for many years. They were so pretty in the rain when my husband, his brother and I ate there yesterday for his brother's birthday. The fried ice cream was fabulous! I snapped these shots with the open sign in the window while waiting for my order to come out :) Here are some macros of the roses as well. Unfortunately the wind was blowing and the macros didn't turn out very sharp. I hate that! Pretty roses anyway I guess. Hopefully when I get a DSLR and learn how to use it my pics will improve :) See more window views here.

Watery Wednesday
I love little droplets! Aren't they so fresh looking? I know it's not very much 'water', but I think it counts. It rained a lot here today and there are little droplets on everything. Would it ruin it if I said this is a weed in my backyard? Cute little weed I think. Most people spend a long time trying to get rid of weeds, but my backyard is un-finished, and I'm glad there's something green back there instead of just dirt and rocks. See more water here.

Input please?
I'm thinking of purchasing a DSLR. Does anyone have any input or suggestions on what would be good to get if I wanted to start a low key photography business? How about the cannon eos digital rebebl?

Mellow Yellow Monday
In the courtyard at my in-laws there are many beautiful flowers all the time. Their land is my favorite place to take photos. I really loved this unique yellow flower with the red stripes. I've never seen its like before. Anyone know what it is?

Today's flowers
Here are some shots of Iris and some cherry blossoms and another common tree who's name I don't know. (If you know please tell me) I like to call the little seed pods on it 'spinners' because they spin around when they fall off. See more lovely flowers here.

Skywatch Friday
It's not a very high quality photo, but I think this is a pretty interesting shot of clouds, and clouds are part of the sky, so I thought this would fit with a Skywatch Friday post. Utah has some pretty amazing mountains. Whenever I'm away too long I sort of miss them. I feel unprotected out in the flat lands and think of the mountains as a huge natural barrier from the rest of the world.

Monochrome Weekly
These are my favorite trees. This one had a boo-boo.
I love daffodils in color, but I thought this one looked quite dramatic in black and white.
